Lisa Cassidy completed her second year of post-graduate study at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2008, studying under the soprano Judith Howarth.

Her operatic roles include Agathe in the 2011 production of Der Freischütz with Claxton Opera; Leona in La Belle Hélène with Suffolk Opera in 2010, and also Titania (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Britten), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro, Mozart), Marzelline (Fidelio, Beethoven) Oscar (Un Ballo in Maschera, Verdi).

Lisa’s extensive recital experience includes appearances alongside Judith Howarth and Malcolm Martineau in The Hub in Edinburgh and she has featured in numerous music festivals across the UK including the Thaxted Festival, The St Peter Mancroft Recital Series, the Viennese Festival at the King of Hearts, The Park Lane Concert Series in Norwich, The Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal Concert Series and The St Lawrence Jewry Music Festival in London.

Lisa’s oratorio work includes Mozart’s Requiem, C Minor Mass and Regina Coeli, Handel’s Messiah, Faure’s Requiem, Symanowski’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria and many other solo performances with choral societies throughout the UK. 

In 2007, Lisa participated in the inaugural Oxford Lieder Master Course, working with Sarah Walker, Ian Partridge and Richard Stokes, and has worked in Scotland and Wales with artists including Malcolm Martineau, Christian Gerhaher, Marie McLaughlin, Diane Forlano and Mhairi Lawson. Lisa is a Britten-Pears Young Artist and an alumna of the Live Music Now scheme.
